STAND APART. STAY READY. Practical equipment. Clear reasons.

This is an optional detailed checklist. New visitors should start with Build My Plan, our single personalised questionnaire for household circumstances, bugging in or out, equipment quantities and priorities. Use this separate readiness checklist only if you want more detail. Its saved answers remain on your device and do not automatically synchronise with Build My Plan.

ONE PLAN. YOUR OWN PACE.

Your household readiness dashboard

Start with the people and everyday disruptions that matter to you. Record what is already covered, mark what needs attention, then print or save your plan. This is a practical planning checklist, not a safety certification or professional assessment.

Privacy by design: Nothing you enter is sent to Go Prepare. Your answers exist only in this browser. Select Save on this device to save locally; you can export or erase that copy at any time. These entries do not update other Go Prepare calculators automatically.
1. Your household and goal

Leave either food or water blank if you have not counted it yet; the result will say “Not assessed” instead of guessing. The food figure is your own estimate, not a nutrition check. For outages without power, assess shelf-stable food separately in the Food Reserve Planner.

2. What have you already covered?

Each item starts as Not checked, so we never assume you are missing something. Mark it Covered, Needs attention or Not relevant. Outstanding actions and sensible ways to close gaps will appear below.

No changes saved. Your answers stay in this page until you choose Save on this device.

Keep equipment ready: use our Equipment Maintenance & Seasonal Readiness Planner to record inspections, check upcoming reviews and print overdue actions. Your maintenance record is saved separately on your device and does not automatically change this readiness checklist.

New to preparedness? Start with the Start Here guide, or follow our 72-hour household checklist. Your food and water figures here are manual self-reported estimates; use the dedicated calculators for more detail.
